The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, it’s stylish, sleek, sophisticated, and powered by a snapdragon processor, which provides mass internal memory for multitasking and accessing features quickly. The X10 boasts a 4-inch display, which provides a beautiful playback, most ideal for someone who uses his or her phone as a video player.
All communication is located in the Timescape, which holds a limitless amount of conversation from the owner and their contacts, this could be from twitter, facebook, to texts.
The X10 also provides both 3G and WiFi, helpful for browsing the Internet and the web browser is made easy with the touch scrolling, HSDPA also enhances the data transfer rates.
The X10 unfortunately has a 1GB memory, however a microSD slot is available and a 8GB card comes free with the phone, but if you are in need to memory similar to the levels of the iPhone, then you can purchase a 32GB memory card.
The X10 also boasts an 8.1 megapixel camera which produces great quality shots and videos, there is also a fascinating face recognition system where the camera scans faces, and if there are any recognizable faces, which are tagged in another photo, the phone will automatically tag them.
To summarize, the X10 is user-friendly, with a great display. The features available with the phone are quite generous, the internal performance is pleasingly fast and the basic phone functions work well. Unfortunately the X10 runs Android OS 1.6 and those of you whom are familiar with this know that it comes with its issues, however the up and coming OS 2.2 may be the remedy. The Timescape application also comes with its faults. In conclusion the Xperia is slick and user friendly, with a good basis on call quality and basic functions, however Android 1.6 may put some users off.
