The N97 is Nokia’s answer to the new smartphone industry, providing a tilting touch screen and also a side sliding qwerty keyboard.
The N97 is purely customizable, allowing you to change what you see on the home screen, adding new widgets and also adding apps through Nokia’s application store.
This is also Nokia’s first smartphone, which features Ovi Lifecasting, allowing you to change your Facebook status and location from your home screen. Another bonus of this allows you to be updated on your plans for the day, using WiFi and 3G for example to check travel delays or possibly movie times.
The N97 provides a microSD slot for memory cards up to 16GB, this should be enough to manage photos, movies and music files. The N97 also comes with a 5 Megapixel camera which is brilliant for taking photos thanks to the dual LED flash and Carl Zeiss optics. Thanks to some of the phones widgets, you can upload these photos to facebook or twitter, or send them straight to your friends. Along with this, the phone has geo-tagging, so you never forget where the photo was captured and with a seven-hour battery life, the phone will be able to last quite some time whilst running these applications.
